Valérie Laudier

Valérie Laudier has been living in the Parisian suburbs for 5 years, since she came back from Japan. She lives in an elegant mansion built in the 18th century, completely renewed and decorated with a Japanese spirit. Old objects, work accessories, silk paper and prints reflect Japan, the place she misses and loves so much.

It’s in this house that she installed her workshop in which she is still practising calligraphy and screens assembly. She decorates each of them using several techniques including the gold or silver leaf laying, Japanese paper entwisting or Indigo tinted paper.

Ôtsuki Sama

When she returns from Japan, she naturally launched her collection of home objects under her brand « Ôtsuki Sama » (Her Majesty the Moon) making all the patterns by hand. She develops them on paper or beautiful fabric (silk, linen, cotton and crepe) to offer unique pieces or limited editions. Her product range is rich and wide, much like her curiosity and ernergy. The fabric is going to be printed with drawn patterns tinted with indigo or with flowers essence based on traditional dye methods.
The Ôtsuki Sama products set also include paper universe (notebooks, wallpapers and decorative boards), tableware (tablecloth, placemats), decoration objects (Japanese cushions and quilts) and fashion accessories.
She mixes the dye, the crochet, the embroidery, the seam and the paint. Everything is handmade by Valérie herself or by members of her team.
